McKenna's visit
Visit always seem to go so fast. Seems like we never take enough pictures but we try. Here are some highlights from the zoo today.
A quick story though. When I picked up McKenna at the airport for this visit two of the flight attendants came up to me to let me know that McKenna helped them out with the other unaccompanied minors. The flight attendants didn't come up together, it was two separate times someone came up to tell me how wonderful she is. She has her teen moments but she is a darn fine young lady! And, she loves her little sister.
All the animals at the zoo and all Riley wants to do is play on the bouncy bridge.
The girls were interested in the iguana until he pooped.
Riley is also a big fan of elephants.
The tigers are usually asleep, got some action today.
In the meerkat tube. McKenna asked me "why are they called that? Do they like looking at their reflections or something?". Took me a minute but I then explained that it was meerkat, not mirrorkat.

More videos
Having some trouble this morning but here are a couple more vids from this morning. A great Christmas in the dojo this year. Riley scored a ton of great great things to play with, plus she has pretty much taken over the IPAD. McKenna got some cash and gift cards, you know cuz parents just can't do anything right for a 13 year old. Krista got a fancy new coffee maker and as soon as she decides on a kindle fire or a nook she will have that too. Technically the IPAD is mine, although as stated above it has pretty much been claimed by Riley. I also got some more Duck gear and a fun Lowes gift card.

Catching up
During the time between the computer dying and us getting the iPad we had a couple of events that we got some pics but had no way to set them on the blog.
Here is a random of Mikka under the tree.
Riley carved up some pumpkins at daycare. She did NOT like the guts at all.
These next are a couple from the pumpkin patch that is right up the street.
Aawwwwwww.
Tractor race. Hard to pedal with a three year old in your lap.
She had a blast climbing the big tractor tires.
Lastly we attended Disney on Ice. Mickey and Minnie stole the show for Riley.
Drama from Finding Nemo. Fish are our friends!
Alladin was also a big hit.

Belated birthday pictures
During Riley's birthday in November, our camera was full, so we couldn't really take any pictures of her cake and party. We had a great time, and my dear friend, Molly, who graceously made the cake, just sent me some pictures.
It's a Yo Gabba Gabba themed cake. If you are familiar with the characters, you'll see what a good job Molly did. Riley still talks about the cake.

Today Mikka crawled under the tree Reillys been playing with the iPad enjoying her time she wants to wish you all a Merry Christmas.
