Well, we'll blame our internet being out, and visitors for our lack of updates on the blog. We've had a busy summer. McKenna flew out on Sunday after what felt like a short stay. She got a cell phone right before coming out here, so she perfected her texting all summer. Jason's parents also visited for about three weeks. They parted their 28 foot (I think) RV in our back yard. We had four adults, two kids and five (yes FIVE!) dogs.
Here are some pictures -
Gramms and Gramps got Riley a new bike.
Here are Riley and Solitude. They became pretty good buddies. Our dogs kept a pretty close eye on the new puppies to make sure they didn't do anything to Riley.
Gramms, Gramps and McKenna went to the Smokey Mountains for a few days.
Before McKenna left, we took the girls to Sears to get some pictures taken. This year did not go as well as the last. Riley was not at all interested and cried most of the time. We got about three or four good pictures.
... and more that were not so good.

Hey guys, Nice pics! It's a 32.5 foot, which means it's 33 feet, 10 inches in the weird world of "how long is your trailer" speak.
We are in the Black Hills of South Dakota right now. It's rally week in Sturgis. The population of South Dakota is normally 750,000. There are 700,000 more people this week because of the biker rally. I have never seen so many bikers in my life.
And just one other note. We were going to stay at an RV park called Elk Horn. Because it's biker week, we called ahead for reservations. The lady said it would be $150 for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and then back to the normal rate for the other two days we were going to be here. When we checked in, it was $150 for Thursday, $150 more for Friday, and $150 more for Saturday, then back to the normal rate. (%150 to stay in your own rig???) They charge a lot during biker week!!! We passed on the Elkhorn, and we are staying at Chris's RV park. It's a nice place with about 500 bikers camped with us for only $80 a night for two nights, and then the regular rate for the other three. And the bikers are some of the most friendly campers we have ever camped with.
Today, we saw the Black Hills, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse Memorial and Mount Rushmore. And the Bikers scared the hell out of Solitude. She doesn't like it when they rev up their Harley's.
We'll send a more formal update, with some pictures, in a day or so.
Again, Thanks for letting us stay with you - Gramms and Gramps.
