Riley's 1st day was a good one. Krista was quoted as saying "I'm nervous about the baby coming because after she's born she's just going to scream in my face all day." She said this many times during the pregnancy. Well, Riley was great all day and really only cried when we were messing with her. Diaper changes, clothes changes, picking her up to cuddle with her, stuff like that. She ate pretty well and slept pretty well. We got plenty of calls and emails from friends and family wishing us well and checking up on us. She's got deep dark blue eyes that seemed to change and get a little lighter at times during the day. We're looking forward to seeing if they will change or stay the color they are now. Riley seems to be adjusting well and when she is a little fussy it doesn't take much to quiet her right down. I'm sure she's got some spoiling coming up with many members of Krista's family heading down for Thanksgiving and members of my family coming out for Christmas.
Attention all Grandparents - I looked it up and it is actually OK for the baby to be put down from time to time. She does not actually need to be held 24 hours per day. (like that's gonna work!)
