What I have been up to
We've had a busy few days here at the Curtis Dojo. Over the weekend Papa Brackemyre stopped through on his way back to Oklahoma. It was a short trip, but Riley and he got to bond some.
Today, Riley went to the doctor because she has had a cold. The cold is mild and we'll just have to suffer through :(
She weighed in at 13 pounds 6 ounces. That still puts her above average for her age.

It seems like everything is ending up in Riley's mouth, or at least trying to.
The other night Riley was being particularly chatty, so Jason called McKenna. She listened to McKenna talked and make some noises back to her.
Riley doesn't seem to mind this puppy in her face. She pushes the big puppies away when they get too close.

my first cold
This week I got my first cold. My nose has been running, but I've been sleeping pretty good.

Priceless
Having a baby girl........ 9 months and a lot of money.
Staying up late at night when she needs to eat.....baggy eyes.
Having your baby girl get so big she's in her 1st 3-6 month outfit and realizing it's got little ears on the hoodie........PRICELESS!

Daddy's New Toy
Here is my daddy's new toy. If you know my daddy you know he loves to BBQ. I saw him out there puttig BBQ sauce on his breakfast the other day! Daddy said it's good for you.
This new BBQ is the mullet of BBQ's, business on one side and party on the other. Everone knows, even at 3 months, that BBQ'ng the traditional way with charcoal is the best. Often times during the week my daddy does not have the time to do charcoal so he hasn't had anything but a gas grill for a long time. But now they've come up with a new grill. The left side is a place for gas and the right side can do charcoal, it can also be set up to smoke!!!! Yummy.
This weekend we broke in the charcoal side with some steaks on Saturday and some chicken on Sunday.
So the only question left was, how big of a steak did I want? I told my daddy I want it this big!!!!
Just take a long good look at it, it's glorious.

Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day everyone. My daddy picked out an outfit for the occasion and we were up bright and early on Friday (6:00 am) to take some pictures before anyone made a mess. We won't name any names, but someone spit up on my mommy soon after we were done (silly Daddy). Also, my hands were tasting pretty good today. I tried to put both in my mouth, but they just wouldn't fit.

back to work
Well, the inevitable has happened. I had to go back to work. Monday was my first day. Riley is adjusting to daycare pretty well. The first day all the noise bothered her, and was exhausted when we got home. Since, she has done well and this morning seemed to be happy to see her teacher.
Riley has started to reach out for her toys. She'll lay on her back and play with the toys (in the pictures below). Yesterday, she would hit the rings, and hit them so hard they would swing in her face. She could let out a cry then do it again. She'll figure it out some day :)
